Our Family

We have two sons who are the best brothers (they call themselves “T & T: Makers of Fun). Tommy is 11 years old, and he’s always curious about how things work; he loves to read and quiz his brother on the things he’s been learning. Tyler is 9 years old, our little joker who loves to be silly and make others laugh. He is outgoing and loves to make friends.
 
Both boys are excited about welcoming a younger sibling and will share all they know about bugs and dinosaurs and good jokes.
 

Family Favorites:

• Martial Arts: Bernadette appreciates the confidence and structure that comes from studying martial arts. She’s a Black Belt, and our boys are up to Green Belt now. Bernadette is even an assistant instructor.
• Playing Music: Scott and Tyler are learning to play guitar, and Tommy is learning to play violin.
• Winter Holidays: Our all-time favorite tradition is cutting down our Christmas tree and getting pizza on the way home.

 

Family Fun:

• Weekends at the lake, roasting marshmallows by the fire
• Traveling to Chicago to see a football game, where Scott played football in college
• Annual Disney vacation together

 

Our Extended Family

We both come from large families and we love that many of them live locally. Bernadette’s dad, PapPap, lives with us too, so our kids will grow up with a sweet grandparent, right at home!
 
Holidays and get togethers are big in our family. There are lots of cousins to play with when we’re all together. Every year we enjoy one or two trips with our families too.
 
Fun Fact: We are each one of six siblings!
 

Favorite Family Traditions:

• A house full of family at Thanksgiving, with all the home-cooked food
• Annual family trip to the New Jersey ocean shore
